La Montaña is a culmination of my journey from the mountains of Pleiku to a heavily Latin-influenced upbringing in the US.

But more importantly, La Montaña is a symbolic reminder of the mountains that we all climb in life. Mountains challenge us but also give us strength. I remember working the field on our farm in Pleiku, looking towards the mountain peaks and dreaming of a better life for my family.

My career in Carrboro and the support from the community have made all of this possible for me. La Montaña is an ode to Carrboro and also a dedication to the fathers that we’ve lost along the way. I lost my father in 2017. My operating partners that stand alongside me have also lost their fathers. The small white birds in our logo symbolize our three fathers flying over the mountains that we all climb.
